Mindsets

.. On the same topic as the last post, I came across this child-friendly video from Class Dojo (a great reward system that I've been using since John introduced me to it at the beginning of the year).


This is the first chapter in a series of videos they are releasing, which focus on
mindsets and the psychology behind how we learn.


These are aimed at kids, so might be worth showing them in Form Time / PSHE sessions.

Here's a video from the RSA, which details the importance of mindsets (both positive and negative). Well worth a look if you've got a spare 10 minutes.

BLOOMIN MARVELLOUS

Following on from the Inset headed by Beth from Dragonfly, I came across this useful pdf which contains useful verbs and questions for each level of Bloom's taxonomy.

I've saved a copy of it onto my desktop so that I can quickly have a look when planning lessons. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click on the link above and select 'Save Target As'.

2. On the window that appears, select 'Desktop' on the left-hand side.

 

3. Press, 'Save'

4. Et voilà!  It should now appear on your Desktop.
